daphne:art is a by-appointment gallery and advisory. Founded by art historian and veteran art museum curator Daphne Anderson Deeds, daphne:art offers contemporary and twentieth century art from throughout the US. The gallery is located in Daphne’s Litchfield Connecticut home, offering collectors a relaxed setting for learning about emerging and established artists. daphne:art presents four exhibitions per year, each complemented by informal artist talks and interviews, thus providing a comfortable setting for collectors to learn about artists’ practices, motivations and influences. Daphne helps collectors understand how and why to build an art collection. Her advisory services also included artist estate planning, critical writing for catalogues and periodicals, and curatorial projects.
